This is probably one of our first family photos ever. I don’t think we have too many, usually it’s just me going nuts with the camera featuring Dustin and Lily. This was taken at Dustin’s brothers wedding last weekend. It was beautiful, and Lily was such a good girl that weekend. She even slept. IN A HOTEL ROOM. Where there are no white noise machines or walls separating us. Or black out curtains. But she did pretty well, and I think this bodes well for the future and calls for more Leaving The City For A Few Days trips. Also in this photo, I’m wearing a dress for the first time since elementary school. I hate dresses but this one was comfy and reminded me of a silky fancy housecoat/robe thing. Pretty sure Dustin has had a few dozen Boh’s by this point…

Moments before these photos were taken, Lillienne was pulled into the lake by her cousin. She was a little shocked at first, obviously most upset since her leather sandals got soaked. Then she ran off and decided she was very excited to run around in a fifteen pound diaper.

The photo with Just the marker, hands and feet? Her very first scribble ever. EVAAAAAA. That means this thing is getting mounted and framed and will probably be put on display in the New York Metropolitan Museum Of Art. LOOK AT THAT SCRIBBLE! Look at the lines and the depth and the EMOTION that radiates from that piece! It’s pretty fackin’ magical, if you ask me. See how she holds the marker and smashes in to the paper, adding texture and originality with every crude stroke. She may have prefered another medium but she never uttered a word,  she handled those magic markers like they were extensions of her fingers. A-MAY-ZING, I know. And I grew her!
